About Studio Saksham
The Mahila Saksham Yojna is an initiative to empower unskilled women from villages and slums to make Handicrafts and Khadi Fabric Products. Women from Kashmir valley, Villages in Rajasthan and slums in Mumbai/Delhi have created these products. The initiative has played a key role in empowering women from rural India, who are now confident in their skills and have become financially independent. The Aim is to make women self-reliant and give them financial independence.
Through Studio Saksham, we combine our passion for a social mission with an image of business-like discipline, innovation, and determination.
Through this model, we can combine the best of the not-for-profit, philanthropic world with the best of the for-profit, enterprising world.
The RNAF has created successful women entrepreneurs and served as a platform for aspiring women. We are focused on supporting women to become authentic and conscious leaders so they can make a big impact with their work and do so from a place of meaning, purpose, and joy. We have coaching and mentoring programmes and host events that bring women together to network and learn from one another in slums and villages across the country.

This vertical is aimed at making women independent. Whether it is conversations with the community to evoke behavioural change, provision of trainers and facilitators who can adequately communicate, teach and empower the women to learn to contribute to their livelihood – right down to setting up the physical infrastructure or Skill Centre where this learning process will occur.
